This little guy is such a doll! Can you believe those eyes? It took him some time, but once he warmed up to me (and my noisy camera), the smiles were non-stop.

Adorable! Newborn Sadie
I apologize for the lack of blogging last week! It was a hectic week here in the Medina household. Monday we had our big ultrasound and discovered that we're having a BOY!! And a healthy boy, at that! Our little baby Henry is on his way, and we're ecstatic. Then with the holiday I was pretty much out-of-commission for the rest of the week. So now I catch up on my blogging!
You may remember Caren's maternity photos a few months back. Well, Sadie has entered the world and I went back over to photograph the expanded family.
Big brother Max is just adorable and full of personality!

Max's feet look so big compared to hers!

Two! Kaitlin
I love photographing my niece, Kaitlin and her older brother, Aiden. They are wonderful kids and so photogenic! Last weekend I took Kaitlin's two-year photos. My goodness is she an active one! I'd say 60% of the shots I got of her were of her running in the other direction. :) She gave me a workout for sure, but we had a great time!
And a couple of our gorgeous nephew AIden!

Adorable! Ruby
Sunday was such a great day. I had the opportunity to shoot two clients for the second time, which was a ton of fun! My first shoot was with Shannon, Seth and their now three-year-old daughter, Ruby. I first photographed Ruby when she was just a year-and-a-half. My goodness how she has grown! Seth and Shannon are some of my favorite clients. They are such warm, wonderful people.
Shannon is an incredibly talented solo artist whose music is haunting and beautiful. You can read about Shannon here.(For those of you long-time Sufjan Stevens fans, you may remember Shannon from Marzuki.)
Enjoy these photos of the absolutely adorable Miss Ruby.

I swear, we couldn't have ordered better light.

This is one of my favorite shots from our session. Ruby and Seth were beneath a canopy (or "house) of weeping tree leaves. The light inside was golden and magical!
Here's Ruby coming out of a darker, and much-less-magical "house".
