PSA!

Greetings!
These are exciting times at La Luz Photography! I'm off maternity leave and back shooting, which feels incredible. My first wedding since Henry's birth was on the Fourth of July, and trust me when I tell you, it was an event to be remembered! And with that, an announcement!

I am thrilled to announce the launch of La Luz Photography's NEW blog!

Bigger pictures are just the start of the improvements, and I think you'll really like what we've done. I welcome any and all comments, so please don't hesitate to let me know what you think. Please make sure to update your bookmarks and RSS feeds in order to stay in the loop.

Are you thinking about booking a portrait session? If you've been putting it off, now is the time to get it done! Mention the code: 07sumpromo for 20% off your sitting fee and print order. This offer is good on sessions booked by August 1st, and remaining summer dates are going fast! Oh, and psst! Schedule your holiday photos now to get that off your list and save a little money!

Get Inspired!

Well folks - wedding season is upon us. My first wedding of summer '08 is on Friday and I'm pumped. So excited to get back into the groove! I also intend to pay much more attention to the blog (won't be hard when I have hoards of wedding photos to post). To start things off, I'm going to start posting inspiration boards.
Inspiration boards are really just digital collages of photos from weddings. My inspiration boards attempt to give the full picture of an event, focusing mainly on the little details.
I present to you, Haley and Mike. (click on image to see detail)

3 months already??

They say if you want to watch your life pass before your eyes, just have a baby. I have to say, it's so true! I cannot believe Henry will be 3 months old in six days.

P.S. I love gators.

Engaged! Adam + Sarah

Well, I'm back in the saddle! A bit earlier than I had planned on, but taking things slow. Life is so different with a newborn, I found myself longing for the familiarity of the camera. And my first shoot since Henry's birth was an awesome one. My dear, dear cousin Adam (one of my very best friends growing up) is engaged to an absolutely delightful girl named Sarah. They were up visiting from Arizona this weekend and had a few extra hours for an engagement shoot.
So, you heard it here first. I'm back to work, raring and ready to have an incredible summer taking YOUR photos!

One month! Henry.

Since he's all I'm taking pictures of these days, I thought I'd share some photos of our new son, Henry. The transition to parenthood is going well, and we're really enjoying getting to know our baby. Enjoy the photos!

Engaged! Tiffany and John

My best friend is getting married! Only for her would I haul my enormously 8 months pregnant self around Pike Place for a photo shoot. :) We had a great time, and were so happy that the weather (which was supposed to be rainy and miserable) held out.
